Hurricane Claudette, July 2003...
Well, here's our attempt to chronicle the arrival of Hurricane Claudette on July 15, 2003...

Looking toward the Kemah Boardwalk area from the marina... there's a current flowing through there!

The road to the Kemah Waterfront - closed at the entrance to the Kemah Boardwalk Marina.

Flooded cars across from the Kemah Boardwalk Marina

Water, water everywhere

Even the famed "Table of Knowledge" is about to go under. See the water flowing past the parking blocks? That's what's known as "tidal surge" during a Tropical Cyclone.

Thanks goodness for floating docks! You usually have to walk UP this ramp to get to the parking lot. The tide got up to about 5 feet above normal.

Galveston Bay encroaching on the homes on the Kemah waterfront. Spare lumber and plenty of crab traps (with crabs still in them) washed up.

We're gonna rename this place - "Home of the Big Ass FLOOD"

Allright - who's the wise guy?
